Katie graduated from Pocahontas High School in 2016. While attending Three Rivers College, she completed a clinical rotation at The Green House Cottages of Walnut Ridge (formerly Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab). She graduated in 2018 and began full time employment with ProCare in 2019. She is currently working toward a OTD.
Katie chose to be a COTA because she loves helping people. She enjoys seeing people smile and finds fulfillment in assisting people in being as independent as possible. She states that the most rewarding aspects of her work are witnessing people recover from illness and return to living independently and making a connection with people.
Katie has been married to Austin Rouse for 2 years and they have a one-year old son, Logan.
Katie enjoys yoga and baking. She values her family most. She demonstrates a caring, compassionate spirit. She exhibits professionalism and fosters relationships with team members, caregivers, and facility leadership.
Katie states, "I’m grateful to be part of the ProCare team where I get to do what I love every day—helping others regain their independence and quality of life as an occupational therapy assistant. ProCare has supported my growth both personally and professionally, and I appreciate the opportunities for career advancement and the encouragement to keep learning and excelling in my field."
